Led Television Repairs
We have repaired tvs for many years , starting repairs when relocated to Ireland in 2013, we can fault find at component level, and while this is our preferred method of repair , modern or badly damaged boards / lack of spares avaialabilty, can sometimes mean items can only be repaired by fitting a replacement board if one can be sourced. Our sucess rate is around 75% – 85%.
We no longer repair Plasma tv’s.
Domestic Audio equipment Repairs / Restoration
Equipment such as audio amplifiers, cd players, Turntables, Casstte decks, radios (not car equipment) AV amplifiers, Vintage hifi. Either Servicing, Repair or with the case of amplifiers a re_capping service , many times this will restore a vintage amp back to how it sounded when new, this is a time consuming service but well worth the effort of doing it.
We are starting to offer (2026) a Vintage / Valve radio restoration service. Many old valve radios etc can be brought back to life, and for those that cant we can convert them to modern insides such as Internet radio , music streamers inc cluding bluetooth compatible. Contact us for more details.
NOTE: We quote all our jobs before we start repairs etc, there is an inspection fee on all types of repair, this is charged after a quote is refused, if the quote is accepted this is not charged.
TV Parts Sales
We have surplus tv boards for sale to repair technicians and the public, tvs can still be dangerous items with high voltages present on the psu board in particular and should only be fitted by qualified people , we (MSPR) accept no liability for damage or injury caused by or during fitting to persons or property. This risk is solely on the purchaser.
Microcontroller , Small board computer projects
Another service in its infancy, in recent years we have made a small number of Microcontroller / SMB computer based projects, including a media player / crestron based cinema system interface to allkow a replacement media player (mediawiz ) to be integrated into the existing system.
We produced a limited number of Raspberry pi based touchscreen / app controlled music player systems, these were sold to local business and pubs in our area.
In 2015 we designed and built a clock bell chime system to replace a old bell in a old small clock tower on Valentia Island , to allow the existing clocks in the tower (mains clocks fitted mnany years ago) the the bell was a recording of the original bell that was fitted in the tower when it was built, giving authenticity to the sound and the project, that bell system still operates to this day.
In 2024 we designed another church bell clock system that also had the facility to not only chime on the hour ( time range is selectable) but play a wedding bell chime, funeral chime, and also be used via bluetooth / line input to allow for broadcasts from inside the church to be broadcast outside the church for large occaisions. This project took many months of design and testing, and was a community led project.
